Background

In face of regulatory pressure, attitudinal change and technology disruption, our client - a multinational food corporation - realised it needed to transform its product portfolio and the innovation capability of employees.

Existing innovation training was delivered through quarterly face-face innovation 'capability weeks'. In an organisation of 130,000 employees, this limited the ability to develop capabilities en masse.

Approach

We led a complete innovation training transformation, over two and a half years. 

We began by framing the challenge and uncovering employee training needs, and then iteratively developed, tested and launched a new employee-centred digital training platform, hosted on the business' staff intranet.

Impact

Fit-for-purpose innovation training platform
An online training portal and comprehensive 'ecosystem' of modules, that met 100% of learners' needs and line managers' expectations.
Better use of training resources
Greater efficiency in spending due to no longer running face to face capability weeks.
On-demand training experience for employees
Accessible when learners need it, not when the organisation wants to deliver it.
